NBA: 2022 NBA Playoffs

The Nets were an inch from the Eastern Conference Finals last year (and maybe a title) to getting swept in the first round this year. Wild.

Boston played tough. Honestly you could tell they were the aggressor for the series after the first game.

That pass to Joker in the lane was incredible.
I don't think Monte's extension starts until after this year. Nuggets got a bargain out of his production.

He’s already in his first year of the extension at almost $9 million/year.

But even at that number I think he’s been a solid value as an upper tier starting point guard for them this year.

The other day they showed the NBA list of GOAT coaches and I'm like, no way should he be on the list. Then I googled, he's been an assistant or HC there for almost 25 years. Crazy.

Remember when people on here thought George Karl was a better coach than him?

That's right, he signed a year ago didn't he?
But yes, a great price for the Nuggs.

If Toronto can hang onto Nurse and their young core, they'll be a fun team for a few years. Punched above their weight tonight.

Barnes is a beast and I like Mobley too don't have too much issue with how Roy played out.

There aren't quite as many injuries as last year but this year's playoffs are again really being affected by injuries.

Is Doc Rivers going to blow another series where he had a commanding lead?
I would say it is more on the players. They just didn't look like they wanted it last night. I also think Embiid's thumb is really giving him issues shooting the ball and I think he needs to stop shooting outside shots due to that.

They've got all their main guys locked up for the next two years. They are the second best team in the league at developing guys at this point, they're going to be very good, but do they have enough to win a title during that stretch?

And if not, how do they get there? Do they move Siakam to find another version of the Kawhi deal, an unhappy superstar, Zion maybe. Do they hope Barnes becomes that dude and they have a strong enough supporting cast to get by Boston and Milwaukee with prime Giannis?
