NBA: 2022 NBA Playoffs

How I see this playing out:

Game 4: Boston wins and goes up 3-1
Game 5: Golden State wins an all-time great game back in SF. Boston up 3-2
Game 6: Closing out + Experience of GS prove a bad combo: Golden State wins in Boston. Tied 3-3
Game 7: There is no way GS loses a Game 7 at home. Golden State wins title 4-3 after being down 3-1.

I don't think the Celtics have lost back to back games these playoffs, but as a full roster haven't lost consecutive games since January 19th/21st. They lost a back to back in March without Brown, Tatum, and 2 other starters sitting the second game.

True...and Golden State hasn't lost back to back games these playoffs either. We'll see if that holds for Game 4.

I’m rooting for the Celtics but I like the game 4 winner to win it all. If Boston wins game 4, they take it in 6. If Golden State, they take it in 7.

After last night, I think I am leaning rather heavily towards Boston taking it all. GS shot 40% from 3 and had great games from Steph and Klay. Lost by 16. They are getting out matched physically by a bigger team that plays tough defense and rebounds extremely well. It is going to take a lot for GS to win 3 more games.

I just can't get into this finals. For whatever reason, I am just not a fan of any of the Boston. Only guy I really like on their team is Horford. Green and Thompson have looked old in this series. Not the same defenders they once were. Thompson due mostly just to injuries.

I can’t tolerate watching Draymond and Curry anymore. Not a big Boston fan but hope they win. That probably dooms them. I guess the refs feel they can’t call everything on Green so they call about 1% of his ****. And that pacifier of Curry’s that he hurls when he has a tantrum makes me long for the days of Dustin Hogue and his toothpick.

GS defense horrendous last night.

Think saw a little more of Wiggins helping Curry on the isolation, coupled with somewhat leaving Smart uncovered on the dribble handoffs. Likely see more of the same in game 4.

Looney has to be bigger presence, just getting killed inside. Four guard lineup has met its match in this series unless someone from GS wants to rebound.

I get the Boston teams thing and feel the same but I grew up a Bird fan and I’m loyal. Though I’d like to think the Celtics aren’t quite as annoying as the Patriots and Red Sox. I’m probably wrong.

I like Tatum, he is an exciting young player in this league. Honestly has a chance to become the 'next best player in the league' once LeBron hangs it up. And Jaylen Brown is a #1 guy on a dozen other NBA rosters. I too don't really like anything Boston, but they are an easy-ish group to cheer for IMO, sans Marcus Smart.

Me too. I was all in on Georges/Embiid and the Sixers, but knew the Harden issue would bite them in the ass. Then I was rooting for Riley/Spoelstra/Butler. Team plays hard.

Cannot get into either Boston or GS. Cannot stand Draymond Green, cannot stand Marcus Smart, cannot stand anything from Boston and their horrible fans. GS winning another one without KD was an interesting storyline, but they are looking old and a step slow.

I think the Celtics have figured out what it takes to win. They can use their physicality to beat GS.

After game 2 Draymond was saying how he didn't get the 2nd tech because it's different in the finals and the Celtics would know that if they had finals experience (paraphrasing). Well the Celtics have experience now, and they found the game plan. Celtics in 6.

I'm more or less neutral about Golden State but there aren't many teams who are more fun to watch play with their backs against the wall. Steph in particular is fun to watch when he's a little pissed off .

Especially on defense lol. He should just stand at half court.

I don't think GS even tries 60% of the time on defense, they just buckle down when they need to. They are just betting you won't make every shot, if you miss, they run, when they run, they score. They built their dynasty on it.

Good perspective. I can see that.

Of course I forget the finals takes a 1 game break between game 3 and 4. Didn't even realize there was a game tonight.
