MLB: ***2022 MLB SEASON THREAD***

I'd DFA Joey Gallo tomorrow if I was the Yank GM but they probably won't until the all-star break in hope of some miracle that he will find himself. He is haplessly sad to watch at bat. Yanks keep winning so I am not mad at him, but he's sad to watch.
He looks completely lost at the plate. Yanks 24 games over .500 they can give him some time.

Gallo is the least of their worries. They just hope their other two power guys don't get hurt.
Judge is playing for a payday he’s locked and loaded. That’s a really potent lineup supported by the best pitching they’ve had in quite sometime. Real chance for 28.

They'll go through their annual 6 weeks of not scoring in August-September.

LaRussa was already catching heat in Chicago...this won't help matters:

That was one of the dumbest managerial moves ever. His own announcers couldnt even make up a good excuse. His press conference after was hilarious, getting all defensive, etc. As a Dodgers fan, welcome back Max and thank you Tony!

This dissing tweet turned into quite a self-burn troll attempt as the Yankees had already hit one out and would go on to hit six homers in the game. And the next one Stanton hit did got out and in a hurry. A better tweet would have been to play up a really good catch by the Cubs Morel in centerfield.

Few weeks ago I was bemoaning having to sign Matt Carpenter who was released from a Rangers minor league contract and hit all of .169 last year.

And, boy oh boy, did that signing work out so far. He had 2 homers and 7 RBI today and he's playing for a salary of $1M. Six home runs in 10 games for the Yanks. Might be a comeback player of the year candidate if he keeps this up.

A VERY unexpected (IMO) sweep of the Dodgers by the Giants in San Francisco. Would not have guessed that outcome going into this series!

If the season ended today four of the six AL playoff teams would be from the East. If seeded by record they would have three of the top four spots. Lot of season left but do believe the East will have three teams in. The Central and West only have three teams out of ten above .500.

Cleveland and White Sox suck. The central will only have the champ.
