Tiger was too hard on his body. Guy was crazy with his workouts.
Tiger was also probably a drug addict and alcoholic. That’s what did him in.

Dude was crazy. Would run 6 miles in the morning, practice/play all day, run 6 miles at night. My favorite story about that was Tiger supposedly planned his morning runs to go shirtless past all the other pros in those Orlando neighborhoods they all live in back when Tiger was the only guy to really take strength training seriously.
100% addicted to pain pills and sleeping pills. His addictive personality is what made him great at golf but also a part of his down fall. It seems he has it under control now but man, he nearly lost everything.Tiger was also probably a drug addict and alcoholic. That’s what did him in.
Apparently he has a phase after his Dad passed that he wanted to be a Navy SEAL and was seriously considering it. IIRC there was a Sports Illustrated story that mentioned that a few years ago?Dude was crazy. Would run 6 miles in the morning, practice/play all day, run 6 miles at night.
Yeah he was training with the SEALs for awhile. It’s how he messed up his knee. Got kicked while doing hand to hand combat in a kill house.Apparently he has a phase after his Dad passed that he wanted to be a Navy SEAL and was seriously considering it. I mean because of injuries Tiger has gone through multiple swing changes and managed to be an elite player each time he's come back. Taking Zach Johnson's last 15 over Tiger's because he won at a place that Tiger has also won at, is honestly one of the worst golf takes I've seen in a while. "He was never the same." Sure, does Zach's last 15 include any years like Tiger's 2013?
I would take some of those workouts with the booze and three ways with high end hookers. It would break me the first time but I’m willing to try.Tiger was too hard on his body. Guy was crazy with his workouts.
I didn't say Zach broke Tiger. Tiger broke himself by stupidly refusing to adjust his swing when he was 30 and selfishly ruining any chance he had to beat Jack when he continued to play with a torn ACL. Tiger would have gladly traded that one major for Jack's record.. Zach refused to be intimidated by Tiger as would any of the top golfers after him.I think the funniest thing about this stupid argument is Kinch thinks Zach broke Tiger. Tiger broke Tiger. Zach beating him at the masters was nothing.
Zach is a very good golfer. Tiger is one of the best ever.
Facts don't lie. Tiger was PGA player of the year nine times up to that point. After that year two times. He was on the cusp of beating Jack's record by the time he was 36. He never should have played through that torn ACL and I am praying he doesn't make the same mistake this week.I mean because of injuries Tiger has gone through multiple swing changes and managed to be an elite player each time he's come back. Continuing a round on a self induced torn acl and ruining a near certain opportunity of setting an unbreakable record < making smart decisions with your life.91 holes on a torn ACL and 2 stress fractures > 76 holes fully healthy

We get it, you hate Tiger. Doesn’t change the fact that he’s still feared amongst golfers on the Tour, regardless of what you think.Continuing a round on a self induced torn acl and ruining a near certain opportunity of setting an unbreakable record < making smart decisions with your life.
Look at Michael Jordan. Addicted to gambling and drinking. Also addicted to being the best to ever play.Sometimes, that is what it takes

I love Tiger. I root for him. I understand more that you will ever know that not only was he the greatest in his prime and what he did for golf. As someone who understands how hard it is to compete at even an average level in competitive meets and tournaments, I just hate that he selfisly threw an opportunity to break the greatest record in my sport. And I marvel how people make flippant comments that assume elite golfers have never stared hom down. Most, not all, people who make those comments are casual observers who watch certain players. We get it…. you hate the guy…. get over it.
He’s still a better golfer on one leg than Zach…. he’s proven that.
Zach is a great golfer…. Tiger is on another level.
So you’re in here making comments about how ZJ has been better than Tiger over the last 15 years because you’re mad at him for pushing his body too far? That’s a weird grievance. I stand by my comment that other professional golfers are intimidated by Tiger when he’s in contention. You can make all the assumptions about my “golf fandom” but I guarantee I watch more golf than you.I love Tiger. I root for him.
