ACC: I saw some pretty interesting things here. FSU and Louisville are both 0-3 with some really bad losses in there. Louisville has lost all 3 games by 1 point, which is extremely brutal. They are basically done for an at large already unless they just go on a crazy run. There are only 5 of the 14 ACC teams in the top 50 in Bart Torvik so there won't be many quality wins to be had and they both have at least 2 Q4 losses.
Big 12: 9 of 10 teams are in the top 50 of Torvik. TCU lost to NW St, and had to come back from way behind against Ark Pine Bluff, so maybe they are actually just not good? OU lost to Sam Houston St. as well and OSU lost to Southern Illinois. Currently Torvik has us 7th ahead of all of those teams. It's conceivable I think we're better than KSU and WVU as well. That would bode well for us.
Big 10: 9 Teams in the top 50 of Torvik. Michigan State is actually looking a lot better than I thought. Lost by one to the Zags and beat UK. Minny only other team with a loss in the conference but they were expected to be really bad.
PAC: Only 3 teams in the top 50 of Torvik. A lot of teams with losses including 0-3 Cal. What is going on with that AD? Gonna be a lean year for that conference I think.
SEC: 8 Teams in the top 50 of Torvik. That SEC money is finally flowing to the other sports it appears. Only Vandy and Florida have what I would consider to be a bad loss.
It certainly appears based on the analytics already the SEC, Big 12, and Big 10 are way ahead of the pack as far as quality teams go.
