***2022-23 MBB General Thread***

I thought I saw Michigan State early and they looked like they were 'back' but now they're 5-4, coming off a loss to NW and in a tough game at Penn State.

Tuned in after the women's game to see how the Nebraska Fighting Freddies were doing after beating Creighton this weekend and the first thing I saw were two of his players run into each other on cuts, and then another stand watching while Indiana made a layup.

Izzo seems to not recruit well anymore. I think the game is passing him by.

His team looks like D2 talent out there.

I've seen a lot of teams so far this season and know it's early...but UCONN is the best team I've seen and honestly it's not that close. They are throttling Florida on the road right now.

Yeah UConn is scary good. Their defense is so fast and athletic. And the pieces they have on offense to junk up the game and get out in transition is scary. If you gave us their talent this is a bit of what TJ’s ceiling can look like. Even in our game with them you could see both teams were relentless on the defensive side. They just have far superior athletes and bigs but the gritty nature is cut from the same cloth.

Switched to Seton Hall game. They are playing on campus in an old gym tonight:

Watching IU v Nebby.

Crazy stat - the dude from IU just got only the program's 3rd ever triple double. I would have guessed they'd have a lot more than 3 all time triple doubles for such a storied program.

Juwan Morgan and I can't remember the other one, Steve something in 1971.
Thanks!

Found it: Steve Downing

"Notable performances included the program's first triple-double: 28 points, 17 rebounds and 10 blocks in an 88–79 win over Michigan at the IU Fieldhouse on February 23, 1971."
