I am scared of everyone in this conference. Bring on anyone see how we do.

Not scared but ready for a break from basketball games that feel like a fumble drill.

That said ISU may still have a tough time as they have with other non-conference teams but the fun of the NCAA tourney is the randomness.

No. 19 Iowa State Cyclones (17-8, 8-5 Big 12) at No. 12 Kansas State Wildcats (19-7, 7-6 Big 12)

Saturday, 2 p.m. ET, ESPN

Well, Kansas State is sliding after losing four of its last five games, but Iowa State has lost five consecutive Big 12 road games. Anything could happen when the two meet. Both will need a lot of help to get back to the top of the league standings.

Score prediction: Kansas State 69, Iowa State 66

am I missing something? aren't we 1 game out of first place.. lol "alot of help"

For us it’s because we are a game back with road trips to Manhattan, Austin and Waco. And their comment of us losing 5 straight road game tells the story. They are saying we lose those three road games (and they aren’t wrong in thinking that). Not going to win the conference with only 10 conference wins assuming we win our last home games.

well that's pessimistic.

Let's wonder how far they raise if they win out...

JFC CF has lost it and it's no wonder folks are melting down because ISU just 'should' have a conference title 'because'.
I'm just theorizing and realistically they'll only be favored at home and WV is a horrible matchup like OSU.

My prediction - The committee values ISU more than our fans do.

And per you 'dumbing' something without a response, I'm not saying I don't value the team. They're great. If they have a good seed by today's deal they've earned it.

Wins will be tricky down the stretch with the schedule and gasp! they might drop a seed or two which would still be great since any time you make the tourney it's good.

I dumbed it because your negative schtick is old and doesn't deserve a response. Based on the rankings this morning they won't fall very much with a few loses. The committee proved they value our strength of schedule, conference and wins.

Now that we've seen the in-season bracket reveal, w/ ISU at 3 seed (#11), finishing 1-4 wouldn't drop us lower than a 5 seed.

What's negative? Liking a team picked not to do much making the tourney? How many games do you think ISU will win the rest of the regular season based on how things are going and the opponents?

I expect them to win both home games and maybe one in the Big 12 tourney. Which I believe will keep them on or near the 3 line. We aren't getting penalized for losing to KSU, Baylor and Texas on the road.

The negative "with how things are going", comments like that. We play in the big 12 every game is tough just because we lose a game doesn't mean things are going bad or there is some underlying issue.

I'm not saying there's some underlying issue or things are going bad. It's a team with limits with a super tough last stretch of the conference season vs. a bunch of teams with dudes. Is that not true? That's how things are going. I said one or so wins in my original statement about how things could shake out vs. what's projected in seeding.

After today this is what I got...having us win two at home and lose two on the road. Completely honest...I don't mind this draw if it came to be.

I hope we draw K State from the top-6 teams. I just think we are better than they are. TCU with Miles is tough to gauge and they will not want to lose three times in one season to a team. But yes if KU is the 1 seed I want on their side of the bracket because we actually match up with them very well.

It's realistic, closely matches ISU's performance to this point (in and out of conference, home/road/neutral, taking into account opponents), tournament seed line wouldn't "suffer," no expectation that ISU is serious thread to win Big 12 regular season title.

Have we left a couple of wins on the court? Yep. But that's in the past.

Would I love it if we steal a win at UT/Baylor? Of course!
