I was worried about who would guard Murray but after seeing Jaz guard Nance I'm much less worried.

FWIW while his genetic clone tore up nba summer league, he has been very underwhelming in regular season play. Nothing like Haliburton was right out if the gate.

It loves margin of victory. People to say it’s “efficiency” and not margin of victory, but it absolutely is just another way to package scoring margin.

Also, larger margins of victory are more easy to come by when you score in the 80s rather than the 50s.

Fran teams have always excelled at getting 30-40 pt wins against scrubs. Not criticizing because that’s better than tight games, but it doesn’t translate to anything at all vs top 50 opponents.

They did beat a solid Seton Hall team by 16 on the road.

They just got kicked in the stones by TCU, though.

Maybe a taste of what the Big 12 is like every ******* night for them there.

UNC on a neutral court genuinely doesn’t seem any tougher than the 9 b12 road games lately. @unc wouldn’t be tougher than plenty of b13 road games.

I mean it’s just statistically clearly easier than @ku, @Baylor, @tech and probably comparable to some others. KState looks improved.

Last year they built their resume by beating bad teams by 40 and when they were getting pounded by big 10 teams they’d use their starters to press the walkons. Their Wisconsin loss was the most pathetic thing ever. Murray and Jorbo pressing walk-one and making a furious run from being down 20 to losing by single digits.

We’re 6-0 in non conf past two years vs teams currently ranked above us in KenPom, chance to make it 8-0 with St Johns and UConn or 9-0 if you count Iowa twice.

I’m wondering if TJ era ball is just beyond comprehension and they need to blow it up and start over.

That’s enough to completely ignore it if you’re gambling on ISU.

That Grill guy looks like a baddddd MFer.

Dude is always working on both sides of the floor. In the good old days he would be the most popular player on the team and a cult hero. Now he just gets **** on most of the time.

Just watch the Braindead conspiracies that come out tonight when he goes 1-7 from 3. His shot is too flat! Thanks coach, Michael Jordan would like a word.

The funny thing is he is exactly the type designed to piss opponents and opposing fans off.

(1.) White
(2.) Goofy and hokey if completely earnest personality (sort of like a mini-TJ)
(3.) Bad haircut
(4.) In-your-face attitude
(5.) Always a ******* pest on defense, incredibly dangerous when hot on offense
(6.) Starting to feel like he's been in school forever

The closer he veers towards the Phil Forte/Keiton Paige archetype, the more I like him.

Maybe Gard should keep his walk-ons on the bench where they belong. This is big boy basketball, teams normally don't start emptying the bench until a couple minutes left and they are up by 30 or more.

Anybody seen St. John's play yet? I don't know much about them other than Curbelo went there. That could be a problem for our guards.

Curbelo seems like he alternates between a walking highlight reel and a walking turnover, and mostly the latter.
He’s improved quite a bit this year on the offensive side. He still the same turnover prone pg but just better scorer now
