That was my favorite race of the Games so far. I’d be lying if I didn’t say me finding both McLaughlin and Muhammad attractive plays into that.

Very much a fan. I thought I hit "winner" but accidently hit "disagree".
And I agree that race was awesome.
The following video and article explain why we have seen a dramatic improvement in T&F records with a lot of world, continental, Olympic records and personal best broken. It wouldn't surprise me if more history is made in the coming days, even under the hot and humid weather in Tokyo. Of course, the progress of sports science and physical training have also played important roles.

Brutal, US doesn't even make the 4 x 100 Relay Final
What a trash performance for the men in the 4x100m relay. It's embarrassing how bad their handoffs are year after year. Seriously if they just work on polishing handoffs they would save themselves a lot of trouble.
