2021 Mock - Purdy 11th Overall

Do you just follow me around and disagree with every Iowa State positive post I have?
Duh. The comment had nothing to do with you. It was a comment on the tweet that you just happened to post. He has a good arm but by no means has a cannon which is what’s going to hold him back from being a first round pick IMO.

Watching fb games from last year......i still have the 2nd halves of the Okie State and Notre Dame games to look at.
I'm glad Brock got healthy for the bowl game, cuz he was absolutely terrible against Okie State. He must have been hurt.

I keep seeing a lot of people speculating that he was hurt for most of the year. He's a tough kid so doubt he'd make a big deal about it but has it been confirmed if he was hurt/what the issue was?

Started out with one ankle injury but both were pretty banged up by the end of the year

Since it's behind a paywall I will only disclose ranking. ESPN+ ranked 2020 QB class with 2021. Brock was rated 10th best just behind Jordan Love.

If Purdy is picked 11th that likely means ISU is a 9 win, or better team. Purdy won't be drafted if we win 7 games again. I'll gladly take a 10 win team this upcoming season, even if it means Purdy leaves a year early. It's crazy that this ISU team is projected to win anywhere from 7 to 10 games, and they definitely have the capability.

Honestly, I think we'd have to have 10 wins.

That's alright. I've been mulling it over for a month or so. I'm ready to go on record and say we are going to win 11 games next season. 11-2 and a trip to the Big 12 championship game (which we win the rematch over Texas)

ISU is due for a season where we just way overperform what anyone thought they would do. Has it ever happened? 2018 was close, but I mean a step beyond that.

Paul Rhoads first season. Let's please not go back to a time where 6-6 is way over performing.
Schedule that year sure helped. Avoided Texas and Oklahoma and only had to play two ranked teams all year. Non conference wins over Army, Kent State and North Dakota State
