ISU is in! Play Stanford at Minneapolis. ISU was among the last 4 in according to Selection Committee Chairperson.

Texas Tech surprisingly gets in. KU also in which isn't a surprise.

Big shocker, KSU gets in with a 6-10 conference record. WV also in.

Selection Committee loved the B12. 7 of the 9 teams get in.

Syracuse, Arkansas, Cincy and Houston were snubbed bubble teams.

Stanford has some really impressive wins this season. They also have some surprising loses.

Best of 5 sets and it's anybody's game. Hopefully having it at Hilton North can benefit the Cyclones.

So happy for CJL and this squad! I didn’t realize Stanford had fallen so far post-Plummer. Super confusing season for them, expecting a battle for sure.

Here is the final RPI ranks of bubble teams. Bolded teams got in as at large selections. Dayton and South Alabama are AQs. No question that ISU's non con win over Syracuse was the key to getting in. Texas Tech's win over Baylor probably got their bid. Syracuse and Arkansas both have to be livid that KSU got in over them.

34 Kansas Big 12 16-11
35 Michigan Big Ten 18-11
36 Washington St. Pac-12 19-11
37 Pepperdine WCC 22-5
38 Texas Tech Big 12 17-12
39 San Diego WCC 20-7

40 Dayton Atlantic 10 25-5 (AQ)
41 Syracuse ACC 17-13
42 South Carolina SEC 14-14
43 West Virginia Big 12 19-9

44 Arkansas SEC 19-10
45 High Point Big South 24-7
46 Southern California Pac-12 15-15
47 Kansas St. Big 12 15-12
48 Iowa St. Big 12 16-11

49 South Alabama Sun Belt 25-6 (AQ)
50 Texas St. Sun Belt 20-12
51 Cincinnati AAC 19-9
52 James Madison CAA
53 UTEP C-USA 21-7
54 Ole Miss SEC 21-8
55 Houston AAC 25-7

Most surprising snub Houston most surprising in Kansas State- I thought they had no chance to make it.

Arkansas has, by far, the biggest gripe, especially as it relates to South Carolina,

South Carolina: 14-14 overall, 6-12 in the SEC, RPI 42
Arkansas: 19-10 overall, 10-8 in the SEC, RPI 44

Friday night, Arkansas swept South Carolina 3-0 AT South Carolina in their only head to head.

South Carolina was the last team in, Arkansas first team out.

This is truly the biggest hose job I've seen by a MBB, WBB and VB Selection Committee.

Arkansas was the only bubble team I did not see play but Houston was the most impressive of the ones I did see that were close.

All five Big 12 teams were in this cluster so I’m not sure how Kansas and Tech get in above WVU, KSU and Iowa State but who knows? The ONLY thing I can of is that the committee took into consideration the tough schedule with playing the same team back-to-back which resulted in a lot of splits. I have never seen a year where everyone beat each other up so much as this year. Plus, Bill Fennelly always said about Baylor, which could be true about Texas, “You have the #1/#2 team in the nation in your conference every year and you play them twice… you may get them once but doubtful you will win against them twice.” Maybe, just maybe, they took the losses to Baylor and Texas into account.

First round of the NCAAs started last night and the B12 did well as UT, BU and KU all recorded sweeps.

KU's sweep was notable as they beat #19 AVCA ranked Oregon. ISU plays #18 Stanford later today.

KU was a shocker didn't get to watch it but they must have played lights out.

No idea what this team will look like next year. Just glad at this moment Newsome is going to be the setter.
2022 signee, Maya Duckworth, was named to the DFW area 1st team and a 2nd Team AVCA AA:

Maya Duckworth, Birdville, senior, outside hitter: The Iowa State signee, a second-team AVCA All-American, had 486 kills despite playing only 94 sets because of an early season leg injury. She was the MVP of District 6-5A — a district that included state runner-up Grapevine — and averaged 5.2 kills per set. She finished her career with 2,038 kills despite her senior year (injury) and junior year (the pandemic) both being shortened. She is rated the 62nd-best player in the nation in the Class of 2022.

She will probably be a lock to start and play both front and back row.

There was no mention of Kelsey Perry on this season's DFW area All District teams after being District Blocker of the Year in 2020. Not sure if injury or performance this season was the reason for that. If she is healthy, she is also an immediate probable starter at MB.

Not exactly sure.
What are peoples thoughts on our team going forward? We seem to be a decent team but that’s about the extent for the last several years. Can CJL do a bill fennelly and after his lull, amp things up and get the upward path again?

The top teams seemed to have passed on her - perhaps her 5'9" height as an OH?
