They had basically no RB depth last year. When David went down with his concussion they had Corderrelle Patterson and Ryan Nall taking snaps. This was a much needed signing.

Nagy is to playcalling as Prohm is to timeout calling. Pure genius...at killing momentum.

If I watched Nagy call Montgomery to the sideline and put Patterson in instead on 3rd/4th & inches just one more time, so help me gods.

Uh. I guess it's a good thing we didn't trade three first rounders with Mack and Smith for Watson. yikes.

I’ve been cringing at the same thought this past week. Maybe Pace knew something or picked up on character issues back in 2017?

Haha, who am I kidding. No he didn’t, he botched that draft in only ways the Bears are capable of. But it all worked out in the end, we got Dalton!

i remember seeing a statistic last year along the lines of when Montgomery gets a certain amount of touches (which it wasn’t an ungodly number), the bears were undefeated last year. I don’t remember what the touches were but it always baffled me when they would put Patterson in on those short distance plays and run a sweep to him to the outside for a loss.

Nagy is the Tom Herman of the NFL. Outthinking himself more than anyone else.

Nagy was obsessed with getting Patterson at least 3 reverses or end-arounds for -4 yards every game.

I don’t understand his love for Patterson. It’s like Nagy feels that he has to get Patterson into the game because they don’t feel like his salary justifies special teams only. Elite special teams player, below average RB/WR. The Bears are a mess.

And with the Bears OL you need more RB depth than usual, as it appears to be their singular goal to get a running back killed.
