2019 Coaching Carousel

Packers request interview from NW's Pat Fitzgerald.

That's interesting. I doubt Fitz would take it, but he could be a good fit there. I would think they would want somebody who could provide some instant offensive punch to win right now while Rodgers still has the tools, but maybe they are considering a full overhaul also.

So 18 days ago Temple hired Manny Diaz. Well Miami lost their head coach not even 24 hours ago and they just hired Manny Fiaz away from Temple. Man...how sucky it would be to be a Temple fan.
And 8 years ago they lost another HC to Miami.

Does Temple have fans?

Hopefully Diaz goes to a Briles Baylor style offense.

I would like to see Fitz scream at prima donna players getting paid twice him. That will not end well. Think Lettrel Sprewell. I look forward to the day when Aaron Rodgers no longer does television advertisements where he just shakes his head in condescension....boring. He betrayed me by not doing discount double check anymore...at least that was not boring.

Just got an alert saying the NCAA will face "a wave" of early signees wanting out of where coaches bailed.

The early signing period isn't over yet!

Is Holgerson going to Houston good, bad, or indifferent for ISU. I would imagine that it's a good thing in the short term as teams often struggle immediately after a coaching change.

Probably inconsequential in the short term. West Virginia was going to be down next year regardless and it seemed like Holgorsen had hit the ceiling of what he could do there. In the long term I’d have to see who they hire to make a guess at how it effects ISU.

Notre Dame would be tough. Can't quite recruit to the level of the Alabamas, Texas or Clemsons, but are expected to win national titles.

I don't see Brian Kelly being successful in the NFL either.

Cambell has a great thing going in Ames, and I think he knows it.
