**2016 Capital City League Thread**

Holden played well tonight. Came in late and started off a little slow but played a great second half. Had good ball handling for his size and nice touch on his shot. Also an aggressive rebounder. Wouldn't be surprised if he is a starter to begin the season.

I couldn't care less that Naz got the record. I'm just happy that he appears to be 100%. I know what I get with 100% Naz in a real game.

Holden looks fantastic, kind of like a Hogue with better handles. No highlights of Carter?

Holden may be the most intriguing new comer to watch. He obviously is looking to be a major contributor in the post and reports of him being aggressive rebounding and defending are key. Merrill shooting from outside is very interesting, in his interview he mentions having that ability just not using it previously due to the system he is in. If he has a solid jump shot my expectations for his impact will rise. Granted it is only the CCL so hard to translate to Big 12 play but, from his videos I didn't think he had that ability. Hopefully we see more his shot during the summer.

Anyone know what baby Babb didn't play? He was at the games, and I noticed he left early in the game where his team was playing. Injured?

I think the conclusion we can probably all agree on from this weekend's cap city games is that anything short of a national championship will be a disappointment.

Not to start a "do they list actual heights" debate, but I was under the impression Bowie was for front court depth. He doesn't look much over 6'4/5" to me. Could have sworn he was listed as a 6'7" pickup when we got him. But I could be mistaken. Guess that's why he was listed as a guard some places.

He's listed at 6'8 on ISU's roster

No way, lol ...unless that previous CCL video was deceiving.

He was listed at 6'7 at Northern Illinois. I've never seen him in person and can't really tell much of a little highlight reel but ISU has been accurate in the past on listed heights

According to how our guys have measured at camps and NBA tryouts, we actually are very accurate and sometimes even list guys shorter than the camps measure them at.

Keep in mind I'm filming with my phone so it's a little more zoomed out and I think it makes the guys look smaller. Bowie looks bigger and stronger in person.

#24 on white is also listed at 6-8 and they look similar in height.

He was labelled as a wing prior to his transfer. This board put him in the front court, but he'll be similar to Burton playing a bit undersized SF in the PF position. He may not have the skillset of Nader, but he should be flexible like Nader and Burton.
