2015 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Okay I get it. You do realize he dropped nearly two sub 2 point games back to back, right? And he barely has any yards. Relying on tds isn't the smartest move.

You don't bench a guy like Hill. It will come around and unless you have two other studs, you can't afford to trade him out for a guy who will get you 8 points.

So heres my team:

Tom Brady
Le'Veon Bell
Frank Gore
Julio Jones
Amari Cooper
Delanie Walker
Isaiah Crowell
Carolina Panthers
Josh Brown

Alfred Morris
Tevin Coleman
Stevie Johnson
Tyrod Taylor
Anquan Boldin
Rishard Matthews

I really just feel like I need to make some changes to my team if I want to be a force in the playoffs. I feel good about making the playoffs but doing something in there is another topic.

I'm 2-2 and tied for Fifth in a 12 man league.

I tried trading Alfred Morris and Tevin Coleman for Todd Gurley but that was rejected.

Anyone have any suggestions for the team? Do I need to make a move or should I sit tight with the team I have?

Standard league, I have Ladarius Green and Julius Thomas at TE. Antonio Gates is coming back so Green's value should drop. Thomas is out for another week or two minimum.

Should I pick up R. Rodgers (GB's other TE is out for a couple months) or Delanie Walker, who is getting more targets but plays in a worse offense?

Someone in my league dropped the Patriots defense. Is it worth stashing them on my bench until week 7 when my other defense has a bye?

Also, is dropping Alfred Morris for Ronnie Hillman a good or bad move? My RBs are Morris, Jeremy Hill, Arian Foster, and Ameer Abullah.

I think the Pats defense would be a solid pickup especially looking at their schedule the rest of the year. They still have all the teams to play the NFC East, they have two against the Dolphins, and they still have games against Indy, Tennessee and Houston. All of those games should be winnable.

The one thing that I would point out is look when your fantasy playoffs take place. The Pats are @ the Jets week 16 and that game could very well be a win for the Jets, even if the Pats starters are still playing that late in the season. That match-up could cost you some points and potentially a championship.

As for Hillman vs Morris, you gotta stick with Morris - or better yet, trade him. Hillman had the yards against the Vikings, but it has not been easy for the Broncos to get going on the ground. The Broncos are 28th in rushing, whereas the Redskins are number 1. If you are able to win with Morris riding the bench, then unload him for some value while you can.

There's where you need work, which I'm sure you already know. You have 4 guys that can carry the bulk of your load; however, you need to up the average of those other guys. Anything on the waiver wire? 12 man league probably doesn't allow it and you had to sit on Bell being out 2 weeks, I've noticed some guys were behind in the league bc of that. Your problem is Coleman and Morris don't offer any trade value. You could try offering a guy like Julio on a 2-1 deal.

Yep. This is the big weak point in my team. Separating myself from Jones would def be tough to do, but I know I need to make a move to solidify this team.

In a 12 man league I don't think you're in bad shape. You could use a 2nd RB but you don't have any pieces worth trading. You have the best RB and 2 top 5 receivers. I wouldn't be giving either of those guys away. You lack depth, that's for sure but I've never won a league with depth. You need horses and you have them right now. Unless you could unload Cooper for another top 10 receiver and a top 15 back, I would stay put.

Here's what I have:

Dalton
J. Hill
TJ Yeldon
OBJ
Hopkins
Walker
Streaming kind of
Bailey

Jefferey
Morris
Dez
Reed
Rishard Matthews

I actually put in a waiver to dump Reed for R Jennings. Jennings has always gotten stronger throughout the year and Walker is past his bye. I thought about Morris but he got some carries last week so I'm hanging on. Dez, I picked up right after his injury because I thought that roster gets me to the playoffs even with him eating a spot and he could make me a strong contender, if not the favorite. RB is clearly my weakness now as I just don't have a consistent second or third and without Jefferey or Dez healthy and productive, I can't afford to get rid of a receiver. Any ideas? Trades are real tight in this league. I really wish I would have bid a bunch more on Lewis a couple weeks ago.

What do people think of this trade:

I receive:
Todd Gurley
Keenan Allen

I give up:
Julio Jones

Do you think Gates coming back will hurt Allen's value at all??

Also, I think Gurley is a beast, but like someone else said 1 week of stats isn't very telling. I would wait a week or two and go from there.

I'm trying to upgrade my WR position in a standard league.

I've been starting Mike Evans. I need someone better. I was thinking about packaging Evans with Sammy Watkins for a guy like Emmanuel Sanders.

Thoughts?

I own Evans in one league and I'm attempting to buy low in my other two. I think once healthy he'll be a stud. Winston threw at him a ton week 3 and last week Jackson went off, which could have easily been Evans.

Here is my team:

Dalton
Bell
A. Morris
A. Johnson (YUCK)
AJ Green
V. Jackson
Ebron
Spiller

Rawls
C. Johnson (WR Min)
Vereen
Thomas
D. Jackson

Dalton, Bell and Green have carried me to two straight wins but I obviously need to upgrade my WR/Flex position. I put in a waiver claim for Tavon Austin but would like a bigger upgrade than that. I picked DeSean Jackson up last week, so maybe he'll be the answer. Any thoughts?

Need to pick up a TE this week with Olsen on a bye. Best available are Delanie Walker, Antonio Gates & Charles Clay. Thoughts?

Kamar Aiken, Duke Johnson, and William Snead are my top 3 waiver adds this week. They'd help you out a bit. Probably Duke, Kamar, then Will.

Clay had a lot of points and had a TD called back last week by a bad call. Clay then Gates if he's taken.

Walker gets targets. Gates could be risky but could be a big payoff. Clay has been getting consistently better, putting up TE1 numbers the last two weeks.

It's kind of a crapshoot, I would go with Clay.

Need a Tight End with Reed getting hurt again. Looking at Donnell or Owen Daniels.
Donnell is now the clear cut tight end for the Giants with Fells going down. Plays SF next week who has given up 5, 10, 3, 10 to tight ends in the first four weeks.
Daniels plays Oakland. Oakland has given up the most points to tight ends this year by far. 22, 21, 16, 14 to tight ends. That list includes Eifert, Crockett Gilmore, Gary Barnidge and Martellus Bennett.

I think Donnell is probably the better option for long term fix but Daniels is so tempting again that Oakland defense. Thoughts?

Thoughts: You really do need help after putting up 48 last week :jiggy:
