*** #14 IOWA STATE vs Texas Tech Game(day) Thread ***

we are like a lot of teams in that regard. Very few teams that will make the ncaa don't have s bad loss or 3. But some idiots act like Iowa state is the ******* only one.

Some of you need to face reality.

Our goal wasn't to play in the NCAA tournament. It was a Big 12 title and a Final 4.

again, it happens to many teams. But if it helps to pretend we are the only team with sometimes crappy luck, then go ahead.

I was just trying to point out that while any team can beat or lose to any team, we've actually done that on both extremes pretty frequently the past couple of years. Huge wins and crushing losses. It's part of the reason why we're a one and done risk and a potential Elite 8 candidate for the NCAA Tournament this year. We are wildly inconsistent. I would say more so than the average team.

the team has goals. They are the only ones capable of doing things to reach them.

Fan goals are meaningless and stupid. Fans should not base their reaction based on goals we have nothing to do with.

Yup. Our goals have changed from, hopefully a legit Final 4 contender and to unseat KU as the regular season Big 12 champion, to hopefully finishing in the top 5 in the conference and avoiding NCAA bubble talk.

maybe a bit more. But we are not that unusual in this regard. It just seems like it.

Our crushing losses consist of uni, tonight, and maybe one home loss. The other 4 losses are losses that many many teams have.

Anybody know how many times Georges has missed the front end of a 1 and 1 in the last few minutes of a game? He's an 82% FT shooter but it sure seems like he shoots about 50% in those situations.
