12-Team Playoff in Jeopardy

I really don't think any team that comes in third in a conference and fail to even make the championship game has much of an argument to be in it anyway. It seems obvious now the 12 team playoff was organized primarily around securing money for the SECSPN.

Well now you’re just talking nonsense. When any SEC team finishes second in their division, one of the strongest divisions in the history of sporting contests, of course they’ve proven themselves worthy of the National Championship. Both the winner AND the loser of the SEC title game must get in, naturally, and those poor teams that suffered an unexpected down moment just once in their season, causing them to fall sort of the division title, why, they are worthy! Because It Just Means More in the SEC (where we play only 8 conference games and nice, easy FCS cream puffs in the middle of our season and getting all our teams unwarranted high preseason rankings makes our schedules look tough without actually playing tough competition).
