Exactly... It will be VERY hard to get HS players from California out here when there are so many other options out west. A successfull coach in Iowa HAS to be able to recruit Texas and Florida...

I saw that Pat Hill spent some time with the Ravens, was he there the same time as Ferentz? Could make that rivalry a little more interesting...

As the husband of a Washington Grad, I tracked the UW hire pretty closely. The thing both my wife and I kept hearing is how run-down the facilities are at Washington. The prior AD, Barbara Hedges, really ran the program into the ground. My guess would be we currently have facilities at least equal to those at UW.

One of my first thoughts when ChizDik left was Pat Hill, but it went away pretty quickly. It would be an excellent hire if true (key words).

I recalled reading that about UW's facilities - how does that happen? Anyway, surely they'll invest in them. Sarkisian seems like the kind of guy who would not have gone there without some assurances.

How do the ISU facilities (stadium, practice, workout, coaching quarters, etc.) stack up in the Big 12?

As opposed to the lack of options in Texas and Florida?

really? fresno state = USC? USC gets all the 4 and 5 stars. Fresno doesnt... im just saying he has never recruited outside the area and its gonna be really hard to convince california boys to come to ISU. we need someone with connections down south like gene and mac had

Cuz Mac and Chizik ever pulled tons of 4/5* talent from TX & FL.

Right now I'd be happy with anyone not named Farley

Ok, the plane Pollard might be on is landing at 2:55 in Ames. someone who has contacts at the A. Department see if Pollard shows up in the office around 3:20 or so. We will then know he was in Indy.

If that is the case why did he take a formal interview with Washington. Frankly, ISU is in much better shape that UW. Their alumni expect a return to glory days with worn out facilities and the aftermath of a crazy AD.
