First time that I thought our coaches had a bad scheme. Granted they couldn’t control Park to have such a awful game. Only rushing 3 gave them all day to throw. Not giving possibly the best player on the field the ball in Montgomery.
No push on the line. Park turning the ball over and breaking the pocket all the time is what sealed the deal. Park's bad mechanics are amplified when he runs. His foot work was really poor tonight as well. Just scared in the pocket. Hard to be confident when you aren't running well though.
You still have to try and establish a run. Otherwise, the defensive is going to pin their eats back and jump routes. That is exactly what happened. Park kept passing it into a defensive that knew he was going to pass it.
As a lions fan, I watched inept rushing attacks for years. They aren;t that great this year so far, but they have stayed committed and should be 3-0 right now. Point is, you have to continue to try and establish it so the D respects it. I feel like this is football 101.
Felt like we gave up on the run in the game plan. First game I have been disappointed in Manning. Defense played great, offense gave us no chance.
9 rushes for 34 yards. ~3.75 YPC. That's a high enough average where 9 carries is inexcusable.

You have to keep trying to run the ball. Its basic football to keep the defense honest. With a back like Montgomery, he need to have the ball and keep pounding, something will give and he will be off. Very poor decision to abandon the run in the 1st quarter for the whole game. I hope this staff is embarrassed because they ran a **** show last night for the whole country to see.
3.75yds x 3 downs = 11.25 yds if my math is correct. That's a first down in American football, unless I've missed something. We're an engineering school, so can somebody check my calculations?

This is wrong. Montgomery's first rush was 9 yards. His second was 7 yards.
Then.....POOF! He disappears from the game plan.
