Worth noting, Keondray Jones-Logan tore his ACL during the spring. Decent loss for them

Charles Pierre Jr. has some insane numbers, and against similar competition to us last year against Wisconsin (saying based purely on being a P4 school as Wisconsin was not very good last year), he averaged almost 7 yards per carry but only had 12 carries. That seems odd to me that if a guy is averaging close to 7 per carry you only run him 12 times. Bouman also struggled against Wisconsin only completing 12/23. Don't see this being a very difficult game for us, but who knows what could end up going their way on Saturday.

Looking at USD's rushing stats from last year are kind of nuts. Every rusher with more than 10 attempts has above a 6 YPC. Bouman is the lone exception.

CPJ is a stud RB for South Dakota, but it was a split back field last season. USD also had Travis Theis, who went over 1000 yards, as well. Theis is consider a Mount Rushmore player for the history of USD. He was a major reason for USDs turn around and the coaches had the trust in him.

USD has one of the better QB/RB duos we will face all season. That said, they have only 1 returning starter on their Oline and only 1 returning starter on their entire defence. But they have a boatload of incoming transfers from schools like Texas, KState and West Virginia.

This is one of those teams that will be a lot better the second half of the season. Glad we're their opening game.

I’ve seen us lose to enough FCS teams that I’ll never utter those words in these games
