As you may know, we’ve struggled with the transition to permanent disability, so we have been working to find a way to fill my days as well as bring in some small revenue. Naturally, I also wanted something I could do with the boys and leave for them as an investment and legacy.

With the backing of somebody to help get us started, we have opened up WaukeePoke on eBay. May seem weird, but great for bonding time and keeping busy. Got 50 sales already in past 4 days.

Anyways, it’s incredibly difficult to get cards in good condition at a price that still leaves a margin after eBay’s ridiculous fees, shipping, etc. We’ve worked out a flow that minimizes costs, but we’re talking very small margins.

So the ask - if you could spread the word to anybody (other parents, teens, etc) looking to get rid of Pokemon cards, have them email me at [email protected].

Thanks everyone and Go Clones!

Have you thought about expanding to other lines like various sports cards or Magic cards? I believe there is even a market for the OG Garbage Pail Kids. I realize it would require more work, but there are a lot of resources out there for quickly researching cards.

I have a binder I would donate. Not sure of the worth, but there is probably 100 ish cards in there if you were interested!

Good luck, margins can be slim. Use ebay's ESE program so save on shipping. Let me know if you have any general ebay questions.

I would donate some Magic the Gathering Cards if you feel like expanding.

I'm not currently but I GREATLY appreciate the offer. I'm still trying to figure out the enormous Poke universe:) I did have a surprise this AM when I got a report back from PSA that my Magikarp 203 and Zekrom 172 both came back as PSA 10s. That will go a long way in helping jumpstart things.

No idea what this means but I assume it is good. :)

Website is up, business cards printed, scanning, storing, and mailing room setup (took over dining room so I didn’t have to traverse the stairs and my wife will do much of the manual labor), 6K cards already listed. 600 sales in first 3 or so weeks, constant incline with a ton of happy repeaters.

If you know somebody looking to sell their collection, or somebody that just needs cash and has cards, please send them to www.waukeepoke.com.
