I think it has reached the point now where Pollard is just trolling us to get the new paved lots approved and done quicker.

was just going to say this.
its a ploy to prove to the people in charge that we need that project.
There's no point in doing this for the last damn game. What are you saving them for? Next year when it rains every ******* day because that's our new reality?
I can't make the game, so this doesn't really effect me, but this is pointless unless Pollard is just trying to force the paving project.

To avoid a muddy mess with vehicles getting stuck, tearing up the grass and spending thousands of dollars to repair, when there is an alternative available. I don't like it but understand the why.
Would be different if the ground was frozen.
I feel like that part of the new P&L type project needs to be fast tracked. Where a lot of that project is going to be developer funded, the lots and the pedestrian bridge is likely going to be university funded. Obviously, that is the first part of the project anyway, as there would need to be a place to put all of the people displaced by the construction. ISU has lost a lot of money this year on parking fees. If I were Pollard, I would do everything possible to get those lots paved this summer and start capturing that money again. The pedestrian bridge and all of the development could start in spring 2021 or later, but they need to get that parking under control ASAP.

They've had to have really been hurt this year. We've missed what ~ 5 days of parking. I'd estimate maybe 5,000 cars @ $20 each. So around a half million dollars. That would buy a decent parking lot or two.
They are already working on the ground east of the stadium, what is going in there?
I knew Pollard was pretty good but never knew he could control the weather.
I think the new parking will be east of those fields but I could be wrong. I bet they wish they had never started the intramural field upgrades now (assuming the new plan gets funded). My understanding is they are upgrading the intramural fields. But that also has me confused by the new plans. Wouldn't those fields be included in the new parking lots/RV parking? If that is the case, why spend the money upgrading intramural fields just to have them torn out shortly afterwards?
Indeed. Just close them after October and let the alumni ensure there is a lot of wailing until the paving begins.I think it has reached the point now where Pollard is just trolling us to get the new paved lots approved and done quicker.
