I wanted to be more honest but I didn't know if I was allowed to describe how blotched my shorts.
I was hoping the long snapper got an honorable mention. That 4th and 4 offsides penalty set up the walk off winning field goal.
All I know is, I never saw EITHER kick. I sat there with my hands over my face both times. Just could NOT watch!
My mom also could not watch. I watched, but I didn't have a good angle, so I didn't believe it was good until the crowd got going.
Bumped his right arm/shoulder/chest area a bit when Kolar tackled him. Didn't look serious, and he doesn't need that part of his body to kick, anyway...
That kick was right down the center of the goal posts. Prettiest field goal i have ever seen. I'm so happy for him, I hope he exercised a lot of demons on that. It could have gone in from 50.

No. Listened to him being interviewed. Said he's fine. Unless CMC said to say that. Lol!
I've heard this now. But how does a Long Snapper 'get' the offsides penalty? Did he do something tricky in the pre-snap?
He snapped it...thus gathering the penalty. He must have noticed they jumped and forced the snap (and penalty) accordingly. If he doesn't, usually the defense can reset back onside if no snap or other disturbance occurred.
Also they have a pretty regular cadence where the time between the verbal signal and the snap is pretty regular. He paused a little longer knowing that texas has blocked kicks this year by timing their rush to the snap count. He paused and when they jumped in the neutral zone he snapped it.

So I'm trying to remember: waa the call offsides or neutral zone infraction? Offsides would require the snap and the play would 'count' until accepted. NZI would've stopped the play immediately.
Either way, snapping was the right choice -- but technically speaking, the snap wouldn't affect a NZI.
Well they definitely blew the whistle and blew the play dead. The referee's mic wasn't working all night so I don't know what he said. However they sure were trying to grill every zebra on the field and figure out if anyone saw a hair move on a kicking team player. "Come on guys, somebody must have seen an offensive player twitch..." That conference seemed to last forever.
