CFTV: Tom Manning on ISU/OU, scouting the Sooners new-look D

For him? Why, because our offense averaging 36 ppg (instead of struggling to reach 25) and 480 ypg just isn’t good enough?

Using those kinds of things are like when someone thinks a team has a good defense because they get turnovers.

How have things gone vs. good teams?

What are his tendencies when it's clear that the run game is effective, including slipping Purdy out off the edge, and the opportunity is there to keep utilizing it?

Well, seeing as 2 of the next 3 games are against the defensive juggernauts of Texas (Bottom 13 defense in Div 1 football), and KU (Bottom 10 defense in Div 1 football), I feel pretty good about this. Granted, OU is 30, but have not yet played the offenses of ISU, Baylor, and OSU. KSU is a solid 45, but a little off their normal top 30.
