The laws don't assume any reasons.

As far as the government is concerned marriage is mostly just a type of business relationship that establishes two people as a joint entity, and has a standard set of policies for dissolution of that agreement unless superceded by an agreement as to that dissolution beforehand via a prenup.

I've heard from multiple people that their prenup was thrown out anyways.
