Do you know something about why Pollard announced his retirement today, facts not conjecture? If not then it doesn't matter. I just find it funny that a person spends years getting a project up and finally being built, then walks away before it's even close to being completed. I guess I am jaded enough in my 60s to understand that generally there is a reason something happens like this, and it's not that they were ready to retire before the project is finished.
As for Jefferson, they showed him out shooting on the floor, the day of the game. No he was not going to be at 100%, but when your best player and future first round draft pick is not able to play, its hard to say he would not have made a difference if he had played.
