I can get a real good chix sandwich about 10 different places, but DQ is only at DQ.

Agree on regular food and service though, 100%.

For me, it's nostalgia and the blizzards are great. I have been to a lot of small towns around Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota where they didn't have many fast food options but a lot of them had a DQ.

A few matchups are still tight, one might come to the wire, although I wonder how many people still are in voting and have followed the tournament will respond.

By my quick overview, at least four are blowouts, and maybe two others are out of reach.

Had DQ tonight their non ice cream menu is just as good. Had their cheeseburger and it blows one from mickie D's out of the water.

Can't believe In-N-Out is losing. I can only assume those voting against have never been out west.

It should have won this region.

Okay. I’m going to say it. In-N-Out is overrated.

On the DQ front, their burgers are pretty good. The Flamethrower with a caramel malt (extra malt) and fries is tooooouuuugh to beat.

First job I had was a carhop at an A & W. The owner fought in Iwo Jima. We had a school bus that came in and ordered 24 large root beers. I was sore for the next couple of nights carrying all of them on the trays. Had a guy that came in with a corvette. The windows on those vehicles lean toward the driver. They ordered four large root beers. I put the tray with the large root beers on the window and then watched them all slide onto his lap. He said “If I didn’t have a sense of humor I would kill you.”

The Dension DQ is absolutely elite. It’s one of the old stores that still does their own thing.

Chick Fil A has the better food and service as you said.

DQ’s traditional fast food offerings are okay (not bad but not out of this world). But the Blizzards and other sweet treats are cultural icons, which is why I gave them the nod.
 
Also nice how DQ has their “Treat” locations that are just ice cream. Honestly smart depending on your location.

The U Kno What DQ in Windsor Heights is ice cream only, but I’ve stopped at the Story City one in the past and gotten a full meal with a blizzard.
