To me, this is a side effect with the US just now catching up to the rest of the world. When Lalas played, the US team wasn’t getting coached at the level the guys from Europe and Sout America was. It’s like listening to a guy that played high school football talk strategy vs an NFL veteran. There’s just a level of being able to break down a game that you don’t get unless you’ve learned from the best and played at the top levels.

It’s going to take a generation to be able to get proper hosts from the US.
