USA! USA! USA! The long wait (for some of us;-) is over. I believe that we will win! U.S. is favored by about half a goal I've seen.

Hope they come out on the front foot looking to be aggressive and score. This is probably the most individually talented USMNT we've ever had at a World Cup, but can the whole be greater than the sum of their parts. Hope so. They need the collective spirit and fire and tenacity that some prior US teams have had that have overachieved (particularly on the defensive end). Those backs just saying, "I'm not letting you cut in front of me for anything" to their man. For once I'd like us to do that and get to the quarterfinals or beyond! It starts tonight!

USMNT 2 - 1 Paraguay.

USA has very good young talent, but they don't have a good coach. The Canadian coach Jesse Marsch should have been the USA coach or Frenchman Herve Renard who has won everywhere he's gone including Zambia where he won Africa Cup of nations against all odds(with little talent compared to the African bullies like Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast etc). I don't think Mauricio P is good enough, I was even shock US hired him, but lets wait and see.

I'm hoping for the best and being optimistic. I hope the outrageous ticket prices and BS FIFA has imposed on supporters groups won't be a damper, but it might be. For example, the big traveling pack of U.S. supporters that bang drums and lead chants all day have been split up and only sold the tiniest seating section: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/73...s-world-cup-tickets-seating-american-outlaws/ . The FIFA "shenanigans" so far with tickets (creating artificial scarcity) and the other BS has been very sad.

Curious to see what SoFi Stadium looks like tonight for the game. Can't wait! Dos a uno is my prediction.
