*** Cyclone Fanatic Fast Food Tournament Round of 32 ***

I don't really like McD's but in no way can I endorse 5 guys fries. Just bags of soggy sadness. Fresh is way less in this case.

If McDonalds still had some value to it, I'd give them the nod. I can't do that anymore because they've priced themselves out as being a budget option but still serve the same low budget food. I'll take a 5 guys burger over McDonalds 100 percent of the time.

My theory: Most people live closer to a McDonalds and their food is warmer by the time they get home.
Pro tip: don't close your bag of fries from 5 Guys. Trapping in the steam makes em soggy quick.

I've only ever had decent good from 5 Guys. I assume there are just some franchises that are run really ******. The 5 Guys franchises near me are vastly better than the McDonalds. I honestly can't remember the last time I got a decent order of fries from McDonalds. And that was pretty much my only reason for tolerating them.

Five Guys sucks too, but McD's has lost all appeal to me

Burgers were decent the few times I've tried it but for the money, I'm probably heading to a Mexican joint and getting real food. I agree on McDanalds though. Maybe it's the fact that I'm not pounding doubles and mcchickens at 2AM anymore.

I can't even remember the last time I ate McDonalds to be honest. The one closest to my house is so bad we basically gave up ever going there again. Service is terrible and food usually is as a result. Would usually have to wait anywhere from 10-20 minutes after pulling ahead in the drive thru and by then by the time you got your food it was already getting cold and lucky if everything on your order is in the bag too.

I think y'all may have swayed me towards voting for 5 guys. I agree that McD's is usually just bad in general, but I weight fries heavily because they're one of my favorite foods over all. I do like 5 guys burgers too.

Well I'd hope 5 Guys is better, you can't get a burger, fries & a drink for less than $20. And they specifically use zero seasoning on their burgers, not even salt. Hard pass for me.

Was at 5 guys in Ankeny about a week ago and had a burger fries and a drink for $14. Yes its more than a BigMac meal but it’s definitely better and you get a ton of fries even with a small order.

A single, fries and pop is like 16 at Five Guys. A QPC meal at McDonalds is up to like 12. One uses fresh ingredients, the other uses whatever the opposite of fresh is. I'll take the Five Guys.

That being said, I'm not going to either one if something like a Culvers or B-Bops is around.
