Clearing trees in the Haunted Forest

If you haven’t seen it recently, you’ll wonder why it’s still called “the Haunted Forest.” Not much forest left there.

I just heard that the city is shutting them down until/ unless they pave it.
Seems strange since there a few more grass lots around the stadium. I talked with Lee a couple of months ago and they were approached by a realtor who wanted to put apartments there.

What about the grass lot, east of the bridge?

How about the G lots? Is the City forcing ISU to pave those?
I was told that the lot North of the bridge is also closed. Apparently they don't want to spend the money for the city's stipulations. The apartment thing seems about right. They fill the council members pockets so that they can get it done.

was parking just NW across the bridge the last few seasons due to depending on who's out front I'd get free parking (FF plates). but just purchased a VIP pass to the haunted forest this year due to kids events potentially this fall.

I would love to hear the reasons why the city would want to shut down the haunted forest. Hate to go conspiracy but this would benefit the AD selling more passes in BFE Vet Med and the city parking tickets division.
Having a game x game lot that allows RVs is a huge benefit to the tailgate scene.

As a RV lot pass holder I dont hate the idea of no parking there. As a partier though it would make me sad. That lot is a lot of fun in the back.

It seems like many of you are getting ahead of yourself. I’ve seen no credible report that there’s any requirement of paving or any closing of the Haunted Forest. Rather, I’ve seen a lot of investment on the part of the Haunted Forest owners.

Haven’t heard of any paving requirement. I know they aren’t allowed to let people store their RVs there during the football season which they wanted to do. City ZBA board voted that down.
