Cytown Update

Heard through a sub contractor bidding on this job that the deal doesn't pencil as originally planned, so the BOR and Goldenrod need to either change scope, redraw the project, or delay timelines...

Anyone else hearing similar?
Haven't heard but wouldn't be shocking. We've gotten a few notifications just in the last few days that materials suppliers are increasing prices by as much as 15% due to current fuel costs so I'm sure some of those portions of the project are higher than they anticipated during planning.

I'd heard early pricing came in over budget, but I don't know how much. If it's a little bit, that's not that surprising as many projects are over budget in early pricing, especially with the fluctuation in construction materials pricing.

It will be tough for the McFarland Clinic when we end up having Friday night games.
I'm guessing the lease has stipulations in it for that exact scenario. Either landlord or tenant will accommodate. Landlord by moving potential parking pass holders....tenant by not booking appointments given a certain time period of heads up.

I'd say that's to be expected with all the massive inflation. Not much anyone could do about that.

gawd of course right when the pens about to hit the paper energy prices go up...

I really hope they take their time and wait this out, not there is any foreseeable end to the Iran stuff... but I really really don't want a scaled back Cytown with like 4 three story buildings and a grain silo at the end.

Do it right and do it big or don't do it all.

Would be nice just to get the restaurant/bar building. That's all most fans care about. The rest can come whenever.

Right yeah get that built at least and see where we go from there. Just don't scale it back.

I would think an eatery would want the commercial and residential developments done first before committing to the location.

Suddenly it is a questionable time to start a large project like this with prices going up and interests rates possibly rising again. All adding to increased building costs. This can start to reprieve pretty quickly with an end to the Iran conflict, but who knows when that comes to a resolution.

Have a friend who's involved in the Clinic project. He says lots of things on the overall Cytown project are coming in over budget, and the BOR is micromanaging everything as a result.

Maybe if they'd have put in a Trader Joes, Campbell wouldn't have left.
The best part about campbell’s bashing of Ames and praising state penn was at that exact moment of the video, their awesome dial up internet was buffering and glitching his words.

Unless they had a VHS tape spliced together.
