2025 Iowa's Best Burger

My wife and I went to a big ass burger joint in altoona next to the outlet mall a few weeks ago. It was an incredible burger. I can't remember the name of the place but it looked brand new

As a beef producer, I don't order hamburger very often in a restaurant, since home-grown is always best, but I can personally recommend:

1. The 1/2 lb fire-grilled burger at the Copper Kettle in Sigourney

2. The 1/3 lb Angus burger at Dino's Pizza & Steakhouse in Washington

3. The Patty Melt at Riverbend Pizza & Steakhouse, Keosauqua

All equally delicious in their own way, and absolutely no snob appeal at any of these locations.

Glad they won. Dixie's is one of my favorite places. Nick and Jordyn (the couple who run it) are awesome people, and they know their **** regarding good beer and good food.

I don't even get the burger that often there, but it is very good.

I usually try to stop at Lebowski's in Robins when passing through the Cedar Rapids area. Excellent burgers, high quality beef. The breaded tenderloin is also top notch.

I just saw that they will be temporarily closing on Sundays to give their staff a break because burger sales have doubled. It’s always a must stop place when we’re in town.

Their patio is so chill too. Love that place.
