Milan Momcilovic tweets "entering NBA draft and portal"

Milan must have gotten feedback that he’ll get a guaranteed contract or I think he would have come back. No chance he plays for a different school imo
My guess it was more TJ saying "we'll hold your funding until Date X, get as much info as you can by then to help you decide and we will support your decision."

Has TJ gone after anyone else that you know of?? I'd say he's probably allocated that to the current players. Just a guess though.

I have no idea what funds are going where.

Some folks just say things like they're happening without having any actual information is all.

This mock has Milan going 37, with Jefferson at 30 and Lipsey at 59.

Lots of freshman/sophomores in the first round. I don't know. Does anyone think his chance of moving up changes much with one more year in college? Granted he will get a nice check out of the portal, probably more than a second rounder in the NBA. Knowing nothing about how all the financials work I would still bet on him staying in college one more year.

At best I think if Milan returned he COULD improve to an almost guaranteed 1st Round status, he could also see a regression too. Lots of stuff that I am sure him, his agent & family are working through.

I'll take him at his word that his primary goal is making it in the NBA and I think there's a greater risk of coming back and then not making the league next year if he comes back to Earth in his senior year, or gets on a team that doesn't use his skillset well. He has seen what happens when he's the #1 focus of the defense.

Also there is always a risk of injury. I hope that don't happen but you have to take that into account.

Genuinely not sure how he would improve on one of the best 3-point shooting seasons in NCAA history. Any team he would play against next year in ncaa is going to game plan around shutting him down. No one will be surprised this year. AND he will be one year older - 3 months away from turning 23 just before next years nba draft. Josh Giddey is 23 and in his 5th nba season.

I feel like the only reason he comes back is if someone throws an absolute bag at him and he can't say no.

I don't have any "insider" info, but my speculation is the main reason Milan is in the draft is because at least one team has already told him ~ "If you're still there in the second round we'll take you, and the contract will be X (where X = a number Milan is happy with)."

I have my doubts on Tamin, but it would be ******* awesome to see all three of them drafted.

Tamin reminds me of a pour man's Fred Van Vleet. Not sure how well that comparison works but I could see him bouncing up and down from G League and signing some 10 day contracts. Maybe catching on to the end of the bench somewhere.

Wait until he goes through some workouts. There will be a team that falls in love with his shooting. I'm betting his stock goes up or a team offers at least a guaranteed 2 way contract ala Green.

Needs to convince a team he can be Jose Alvarado type value.

The only way he improves his draft stock is if next year's draft class isn't quite as loaded and there is more room in the first round. That said, next year is gonna be pretty stacked too. I think he is locked into a late first, early second round grade regardless.

Milan is the best shooter in the draft so he has that going for him. There will be a team like Detroit or Houston that will be desperate for some offense off the bench that would love to have his skills. Or maybe a team like Indian that is trying to reload. He'll get drafted for sure and I can't see him falling out of the top 40.

I could see his stock going down if he doesn't shoot as well next year.

The other thing against playing another year of college ball for Milan is age. He's 21 now and will be 22 before the start of the NBA season in the fall. Waiting another year could hurt his draft stock as well when NBA teams draft youth.
