I think this has AJ Green vibes. Probably has at least a 2 way deal locked in. I’m guessing he’ll be playing pro ball next year. Hope anyway. If he ends up at a different school he's no longer a cyclone. I know I should probably re-wire my brain in this new dumb transfer age but nah 3 years and then bouncing is lame.
Hope he stays in the draft.
Not necessarily. Just could be going to a college that’s gonna pay him way above 3 mil.So what exactly does this mean? He got good feedback from the NBA?
Nothing precludes him from coming back still. Really stupid that all of the logistics with this don't line up in a way that makes sense.
Like others said this is actually probably helpful to us.
If I were him I would just be planning to come back while still going through the process for more feedback, but get the goal to get to the NBA could be too enticing.
Lol, Iowa can’t pay him what he is looking for.I’m afraid that will happen. Just hope it’s not in the Big 12 or hawks
Wasn't referring to money from us.No it's not. Money has been set aside for him, but the urgency of getting a roster together for next year does not align with the NBA Draft timeline. He wanted to stay but he wanted to also get as much valuable feedback from the NBA as possible.
He’s not wrong though. This is NIL. It’s near impossible to retain a guy like Milan their whole career. He’s gonna get paid way more than in Ames.I expect nothing less from you Bieber...Almost like you'll enjoy him not being a Cyclone.
I don’t buy this at all. He’s good enough to hold a spot for him. It’s definitely money. No it's not. Money has been set aside for him, but the urgency of getting a roster together for next year does not align with the NBA Draft timeline. He wanted to stay but he wanted to also get as much valuable feedback from the NBA as possible.
The Hawkeyes have less NIL money than the Cyclones. that's not happening.I’m afraid that will happen. Just hope it’s not in the Big 12 or hawks
Sounds like a great way to destroy interest in the college game. He’s not wrong though. This is NIL. It’s near impossible to retain a guy like Milan their whole career. He’s gonna get paid way more than in Ames.
Blue bloods will make a spot if he doesn't stay in the draft. Money is no object and kids get "released" from their school all the time. Will some other school wait for him? It's foolish to wait in this era.
