Yeah, to me he just seemed like a good player in the wrong system for his skillset.Kinda bummed he gave us some good minutes and injected some energy when he played.

He shot better in high school and since NW had him shooting I'm guessing he just underperformed. Hopefully "the shot doctor" combined with maybe getting him in a system and surrounding roster that fits his rhythm better brings out the best9-54 from 3 is something to watch. That's more than I expected him to have taken.
In terms of rate stats, other than 3FG%, he aligns very well with Jefferson as a freshman at St Mary's (he played more than Jefferson did). His 2FG% of 60% is good, and his assists % and rebound % are very similar.
From what I saw on social media, Indiana fans were absolutely certain he was going to go there (he's from Indiana)
Been nice to have a legitimate backup four. Heise produced well in his absence but we really got beat up on the boards.I think our roster was almost perfectly constructed last year. I’m not saying we beat Tennessee with a healthy Jefferson, but I’m comfortable saying we would not have been outrebounded by 30 with Jefferson out there, and that very well could have been the difference.
Saying that, and assuming we can retain everyone who played this year, I’m all in on Johnson, Singleton and Bond. Are they equals to Lipsey, Jefferson and Heise? Likely not, but they are similar molds, IMO, and with a year of development under the belt for Toure, Batemon, Pleta and Buchanan, I think we’d be a tough out again.
No argument from me. Maybe Kiss is able to fill that role next season?Been nice to have a legitimate backup four. Heise produced well in his absence but we really got beat up on the boards.
This might be the most important recruit out of the whole bunch. This dude would fit perfect.
Yes, I asked that last week and got the obligatory can’t trust a freshman. But if we add two PF it’s nice having a talented freshman as a plan B. The important thing is not add two guys with multiple years because preps aren’t going to wait two yearsNo argument from me. Maybe Kiss is able to fill that role next season?
Cincinnati had a couple nice players. Hopefully we could get a shot at a few of them. I’m guessing this guy would be out of our price range? He’s played two years in the big 12 for different schools.
and Bill has playing time to offer!I know if it was me, I'd be going to San Diego as opposed to staying in Iowa. A year of grad school.
i'm actually surprised we haven't heard anything from any of the women's signing today. I mean it's been total silence for the first day of the portal not just Iowa State but everybody.
Yeah, difficult to believe they only invested $10 mil in that roster with all the transfersI suppose it helps when you can afford the very best bigs
and a DEEP bench with good guards that attackedBut wait, i thought guards win in march?Michigan had best and most bigs. They are the champs.
and smallest guard maybe 6-4? Bigs and big guards is why they are good. Add motivation to play defense and it makes them almost unstoppable. The bigs and the number of bigs was the key.and a DEEP bench with good guards that attacked
Elliot Cadeau is listed at 6-1…and smallest guard maybe 6-4? Bigs and big guards is why they are good. Add motivation to play defense and it makes them almost unstoppable. The bigs and the number of bigs was the key.
