WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

Being optimistic, if Bill and staff are able to put together a solid team for next year and exceed all expectations (which would be to finish in top half of the league and perhaps make the dance) then his legacy wouldn’t be tarnished nearly as much as an exposure of the problems with NIL and the transfer rules. On the other hand, if the team gets a bunch of fill in players who flounder it will be a sad end to a storied career. What it will come down to is (a) recruiting players who can play as a team and then (b) doing the best coaching job the staff has ever done. It’s not like the Big 12 is a power house conference. We can expect TCU to buy another team and a couple others to be decent, but it’s pretty weak overall.
You are WAY more optimistic than me on our current state of the program. First off we surely will not be spending a bunch of NIL money to assmeble a roster and combine that with the mass exodus of players we just have and a coach that would be a lame duck at this point what decent players in their right mind would want to sign up for that? We have no star power left after Audi, Addy, and Jada left. If Audi had stayed you at least have that to try and sell but now it's just AJ, Paulk, and hopefully Comito sticks to her commitment.

This is a MASSIVE rebuild now and factoring everything in that has gone on in the past week or even back when the wheels fell off this season I don't see how you can rebuild it with Bill at this point. Multiple years of several players leaving is now a trend not a coincidence and that points to a culture problem which is a coaching staff issue. If you bring in a new HC you maybe get them to bring a few of their players along with them which is a start to assembling a roster.

I am disappointed in all the transfers, but next season will be the ultimate test of coaching and should be interesting to watch at least. There is no way we are pulling high caliber players, so for once we will have to out effort the competition. I am doubtful at much success at that due to the staff's poor defensive coaching going further back than just Audi.

All that being said, Pay AJ 600K for being clone to the bone.
Well, I did just donate to women's BB yesterday, just not $600k

That's an incredible amount of optimism. Who is coming to play for a lame duck coach who has been underachieving for years

Guess we will have to wait and see…that’s the “fun” part. I have to remain optimistic. Too much negativity with serious stuff in this world.

This is malpractice by the AD. I think Jamie is the best we've ever had as an AD and done so much for our athletic department... but this is ridiculous. It's obvious what the problem is and it isn't NIL money and the "state of athletics". It's that we have a coach that women don't want to play for and can't make any changes to get them to succeed during the season or during games.

On the plus side, at least the video is an answer, even if it's not the one most people want. No more uncertainty for next season (plenty of uncertainty after that).

I'd expect our incoming transfers to include a fair number of players with one year of eligibility remaining.
The video confirmed that the inmates are running the asylum...coaches not held accountable unless it fits Pollards narrative. No duh, we will still have a team!

Agree. Many people were asking for a statement, they got it. It basically the nicest way of saying that he isn't firing Bill but importantly didn't say anything about an extension.
