Tried looking for a boxscore from that game. Anyone find one with all the stats listed for Gray?
Good showing for Yusef there. Every highlight he was being guarded by Colin Rice (top 100 kid going to Nebraska) and took it too him despite giving up a bunch of size.
Wonder why we didn't recruit Colin Rice. Maybe just not a fit to our system or something.
We did slightly but he's just not that good. I don't see how he's ranked as high as he is.
Got burned by the last top 100 recruit out of Waukee.
I'd guess it's a stylistic thing. He seems like a guy that doesn't play a very physical style, questionable defensively. He's skilled offensively for sure though.
Looks to me like Rice needs to work on his handles. He turns the ball over ... a lot ... against smaller, quicker opponents. He looks athletic enough for a 6-8 kid, and moves pretty smoothly, but his defense looks subpar too.
My kids go to NW so I’ve seen him play several times. He’s pretty soft, don’t think he could handle TJ’s system very well. For the size they have with him and Davis they should be destroying everyone in the state and they get outplayed far more than they should.
Good Lord, the way he started that announcement I was legit afraid someone had passed away. Too bad for Yusef though. Hope he recovers quickly!
In another thread, people said we have an incoming point guard in this recruiting class. Which of Yusef Gray or Christian Wiggins can play the point -- or did I misinterpret?
