According to Coach Fennelly, the playbook is being simplified for Williams
This comment stood out to me. I’m no basketball strategist, but I didn’t think anything we were doing was that complicated offensively.

My questions would be
1. Are we going to multiple ball handlers available take it down the court? Punish the full court press?

2. Any change of thought on defense? Do we have the ability to run more man than zone?

I think it's pretty well known that bill has a complex system and it gets over complicated, especially late game scenarios. I think back to the Carleton and Joens years, everyone in the building knew who it was going to, now it's Audi or Addy.

Are we going to advance out of the opening weekend of the tournament this year?
My initial thought is yes, but I've got nagging doubts. Mainly if we get injuries to the starters.

Based on the writeup, I think what @acoustimac is getting at is "simplify" probably just means more freedom for the PG to try to take what's there rather than have so much of a structure. The offense has certainly gotten bogged down at times, and this might be Bill showing trust in Jada to find ways to break down the defense. Emily was a smart PG and capable ballhandler, but her relative lack of explosiveness meant that a more structured setup probably worked better with her.

Whether this is what will actually happen when games start remains to be seen.

I had my doubts that CBF would change much of anything in his coaching philosophy (which has obviously been consistently successful, but limited ceiling). Started seeing it using a deeper bench last year.

I think/hope he goes out with a bang these next 2 years. With Jada/Addy/Audi, I can actually see them playing with more freedom.

Bill has tweaked his offense in the past when going from steady shooter/facilitator point guards to downhill point guards with success. I"m not surprised he is handing the keys to Jada with some freedom..

Good questions. Based solely on what has said to date I wouldn’t be surprised to see any combo of Williams/Beatty/Wilson/AJ/Brown bringing the ball up. If Beatty is as good as she’s made out to be, playing a press against us might be a bad decision. This, on paper, should be a more athletic, faster team than we’ve seen.

Defense. Something we all want to see more of. Bringing in Paulk was an obvious step to Improve it. Beatty should also help. Williams is quick and can steal the ball. If Audi has improved her footwork it could be huge. Improved perimeter D also means more help underneath. Three quick guards on the perimeter might allow Addy to slough off and help out.
