Hey everyone. I live in Houston Texas. One thing I miss about being in Iowa is being able to mute the TV and put on the radio broadcast.

I have the iHeart app and when I try and put on the Walter’s broadcast it tells me I’m blacked out of the broadcast due to my location. Any of you know where to find it, outside of iHeart?

The Varsity app archived is so great.

I listen to the post game show of every fb/bb game like it's a podcast the next day if I don't have time to listen to it right after the game.

Also sometimes when there's a really great game just putting the whole game on in the background the next day is great while I'm getting stuff done.

Varsity app is great. You can go back and listen to the whole broadcast which includes the entire post-game and CWs call in show after that.

Anytime I've tried to use the Varsity app for live broadcast I've had a terrible time staying connected. Anyone else have this issue?

In the past, yes. This year so far it's been fine.
Same here. Sometime last year it started working much better for me. Prior to that it would periodically just stop playing and it was really frustrating.

I use the Varsity app in the tractor. It's really fun listening to other schools' Walters & Heft.

Cincy guy sounds exactly like Pete Taylor.

So far this year is the first year it hasn’t been glitchy for me too.

You find out there are some really good ones and some that, well, aren't so great.
I get a kick out of Texas Tech and WVU crews. The other fun part is hearing the local ads. WVU has so many opioid and adult literacy commercials. Dead serious.

TTU, OK State, and KSU have a lot of overlap with us in commercials. Some are literally the same ag related ads.

Just don't follow the game day thread while listening to Varsity Network. I found the audio through the app was delayed enough to where posts were being made before I heard the radio call. Could be different though based on your location

I didn't think affiliates could stream the games.

I don't think they are supposed to but it's not heavily enforced. For ISU it seems like 50/50 if a local radio stream has it.

For NBA I have no clue how it works, every Pacers and Nuggets game is always on their main city radio station...but other teams will get a message that they can't stream it.

I think MLB and NFL enforce much more than NCAA and NBA.
