    Weather in Bronx

    1) we have the WORST "local" forecasts on the face of the Earth... 2) ACCUWeather, which is good 24-hours out (not any further), now has gametime temp of 52, not going below 50 until after 8:00PM, and no rain (light shower possibly)until around that time(9) as well. Could NOT have asked...

    Couple of NYC "Tips"

LOL - not meant that way at all, I just see people every day who are sitting there NOT walking across the street when they've got about 20-seconds to do so.

    New Years Eve: NYC

Great idea - avoid TS at all costs that night, it's just a ball! Those are 2 solid areas, with a ton of options, that you can't go wrong with. My advice: if you can, get tickets for a spot, open bar, when you arrive (and yes, you DO want to do it that way...) or over the internet. Drink bottled...

Dave & Busters in Times Square

Big problem - the ORIGINAL, and best, "Ray's Pizza," shut its doors this past summer.

    Rutgers Cheerleaders Picture.

Dance teams > Cheer teams, any day of the week (unless you like them to be able to toss you around, that is...)!! Ours used to be, looks-wise, phenomenal about 10 years ago. There were actually 3 sisters on the team at the same time, twins and a younger one, and man let me tell you! Not up to...

    Couple of NYC "Tips"

    11) when getting, uhm, "dances" - stay away from Russian girls, they're tend to be not worth your $10 or $20 dollars/pop!

    Couple of NYC "Tips"

Just some thoughts that might be of help for those who haven't been before: 1) if you want to look at the skyscrapers, don't do it while you're walking, you'll get dizzy or smash into someone or something (we've all learned from when we were kids, and did it the 1st time ourselves...)...

    Yankee Stadium turf

Mentioned this in another thread: when the put the sod on the infield, after The Yanks got dumped in the playoffs (ugh...), they made the "strips" to thin/small, which led to the clumps being torn up as such. They've told our officials that the problem has been rectified and the field held up...

Weather Outlook for Pinstripe Bowl, PERFECT @ this time!!!!

fyi - the turf "issue" was only in the infield where, when they put the sod in following the Yanks last gaem, they used strips they realized later were too narrow, hence, the reason it was tearing up so easily. BTW, feel free to follow this link for really good weather updates...

Weather Outlook for Pinstripe Bowl, PERFECT @ this time!!!!

Still looking really good right now. Some models calling for a 30% "chance" of a light shower - not to be confused with steady rain - sometime within an 18-hour window, before, during, and after, the game. Most likely early in the day but we won't know until, maybe, tomorrow. That being said, up...

Pinstripe Tickets Sold: Rutgers 10,000 and ISU 5000

Wow - work on your reading comprehension skills dude - I never said we'd take 40K to New York. That being said, just 2 seasons ago we averaged 3K more/home game than ISU did, and this year we didn't have home schedule featuring Texas, Iowa, TAMU, and OSU - the #2 team in the nation at the time...

Pinstripe Tickets Sold: Rutgers 10,000 and ISU 5000

lol, I hear ya', we've all got them. Seriously, I would love for us to have 40K there on Friday, but it just isn't gonna happen. We would take 40K to Miami or NOLA before The Bronx. Students? Probably about 4K will end up at the game. Most are working during break - to save up for that 1-week...

Pinstripe Tickets Sold: Rutgers 10,000 and ISU 5000

We took 12,000 to The Insight Bowl, some 2500 miles away, and 17,000 to a 1st year bowl against a **** B12 team (K-State) in Houston, but you're gonna talk **** about a game at the end of December in New York? We'll have 30K there, if not more, when all is said and done.
