Has anyone used cyride from the mall to go to a football game

There are free no tailgating lots on campus but to answer your question, I have taking the bus from a stop on Bloomington to the tailgate lots. We changed buses on campus and it was fine. I walked to the Haunted Forest with a crockpot full of pulled pork and thought I was going to die.

I have taken CyRide from North Grand Mall to football games the past 2 seasons. Pick up point is on east side between main entrance and entrance to Penney's. Take Red route. Ride takes about 15 minutes as route winds to Mary Greeley, downtown and then to Lincoln Way. I get off along Lincoln Way north of Hilton. Once off bus you need to dodge 4 lanes of traffic to cross Lincoln Way. Return pick up is bus stop near corner of Lincoln Way and Beach. Wait time is usually 10-15 minutes. CyRide adds extra or larger buses as needed. Routes with pickup times are posted on CyRide website. Cost is $1/trip ($.50 for seniors) and drivers don't make change so plan ahead.

If I don't have a parking pass I park in the neighborhood east of Hyvee. Quick walk from their and fast getting out.

I haven’t used CyRide from the mall for a game, but I’m sure it will work fine. There used to be a small pay lot across from the haunted forest on 4th that friends used. I assume it is still there. You would need to go very early though. Enjoy the game

It beats driving and being trapped for an hour in a parking lot. Seriously, CyRide works fine for me. Eclectic group of riders, all backing the Cyclones. However, I'm glad I don't need to use it every day!

Why not just park in one of the free lots on campus? Seems would be way easier, free, and still able to get out easy after game, and you dont have to rely on getting on a bus.

Is Uber a viable option on game days?
It hasnt been great from what I have heard in the past, but I am sure it gets a little better every year.

I just am not sure there is enough drivers to handle it on game days.

Everyone I know that doesnt have parking passes, of some kind, says the best option is to park in the free and open lots on campus.

They were charging $50 to park there. It used to be $20.
