The article says it’s a “personal issue”. I read that to mean “his decision” and not necessarily anything he did that was against team rules or anything.

You may be right, but "personal issue" is so vague it could mean anything.
He always played really well and helped them keep the games closer than they should have been on paper.
Quick search to validate. Jizzle was 12/24 from 3 against us over 3 games, including 5 made 3's at Hilton last season (in a game that was tied at halftime). He had a pretty good run during the month of February.
He was a problem. Not consistent, but man could he heat up. I’m not sorry to see him go.
Score first PGs are always a bit problematic. A smart coach can build the right kind of team around them, but it's tricky. I don't think Wes was up to the task.
Add in that Jizz was probably on the entitled side due to Dad, that makes it tougher.

He got in stupid foul trouble in that game in Hilton. We didn't have an answer for him until that happened.

Jizzle was all over us in that game. ISU was in a sticky situation until the foul trouble began.

They say it can happen to anyone, but it can still be pretty embarrassing. Or so I've heard, of course.
Game at home was a close one compared to at their place. James dropped 20 something points if I remember. Then his mom? Or someone in his camp was ejected lol.
At least Jizzle didn't get ejected. That would have been cause for stoppage of play.
