*** Official Milwaukee Brewers 2025 thread ***

My only worry right now is peaking too soon. Crew will come back down eventually. That's a given. Just don't want them to hit the skid too late when they really count.

Just enjoy the ride. Doubt we ever see this again. They can't do better that what they are now, so don't be disappointed if the next 10 game series they go 6-4. It's going to happen. However unless injuries start piling up to the pitching staff like back in April I just don't see them falling off a cliff. They are in great shape now to win the division outside the Cubs pulling a rabbit our of their hat and going on a 15 game winning streak. As for post season play......like any other sport, it's a crap shoot. So once again.......just enjoy this.

5 games in Wrigley next week will be fun.

Either the Cubs catch up and put some pressure on the Brewers, or the Brewers just send the Cubs packing and their season is over.

Right now I don't care if they win the World Series. Yes, I would love them to keep playing great ball and win it all in October..........but this run is something that happens once in a blue moon. And I'm just going to soak it up and not worry about what if's.

I've been traveling for work a lot the last three weeks. My wife was starting to get antsy about when I was coming home. She realized this all started about when I left. Now I get texts nightly "stay away" (she's a huge brewer fan)

Or it goes 3-2 either way and nothing much changes.

12 in a row *******! One off from the franchise's all-time record of 13. Also, George Webb is giving out free burgers following the W. Can anyone in MKE get me one?

Well with Perkins on bereavement leave, Collins on paternity leave and Chourio still on IL.........that's the entire starting outfield. Good time for the Reds to take advantage.

True. Cubs fans do know what it is like to flame out of the playoffs after great seasons, too.

To tell you the truth.....I don't care this year. What's the saying.....post season can be a crap shoot. Certainly the best story in the majors....and unless they just flat out face plant, maybe the best story in all of sports this year.

Last night for example....their superstar flamethrower comes back from the IL and just lays a monster deuce and next thing you know they are behind 8-1 in the 2nd inning. What do they do.......win 10-8. And that's not just Miz blowing chow, they were missing Perkins, Collins and Chourio. Basically outside of Frelick their entire starting outfield. The CF had never played in the majors before.

So sure, they could flame out again this year. However if they end up with the overall best record, get home field throughout the NL playoffs and with their pitching.....I wouldn't bet they will. We will see. I'm just glad Counsel hasn't changed some of this head scratching ways. Great manager and the Brewers would not be where they are without him. But man......sometimes it's "what the h***!". Don't have many of those with Murphy.

As an aside, I tried to carry on a friendly convo last year in your Cubs thread and was told to leave real quick. With you posting here now does that open the door for Brewers fans over there?

With Hall now injured, and Miller even not 100% it seems the next 18 games in 19 days are going to really test this team's pitching. Like Murph said.....with these injuries, they are vulnerable. Starting guys are going to have to go strong another inning every game.
