*** Official 2025 Chicago Cubs Thread***

Let's turn this into a thread to share our favorite memories of the Vidal Brujan Era.
Any team playing the White Sox should pick him up for that series and then let him go.

Against the Sox this year: 6-11
Against everyone else: 4-34

Theory - I think teams are using the Cubs **** ass pitching against them, knowing they HAVE to add. So I see a world the Cubs make a move for a less-exciting SP to try and “prove” they don’t need a TOR guy before nabbing Cabrera

Weird that I saw the Happ Ballestareos news yesterday before the game now it’s reported it happened during the game last night.

Hoping Ballestareos kills it and they decide to go full time with Seya in left. Of course eventually that would mean our Bench consists of three catchers, one of which can play first and Berti or Shaw if we get Suarez. In this situation I could see us getting the utility guy from Minnesota as he can play OF as well.

I saw Long for Bieber today. Apparently he’s ready to come back from Tommy John. I know that’s a risk but also high reward for a fair price.

Triantos out of the lineup in DSM. Feels like that has to be deadline related. I could see him bringing back a reliever straight up. Maybe Bird? R. Suarez?

For as little as he has played I sometimes forgot he was even on the roster. I am surprised he lasted this far into the season to be honest, especially with the lack of players with options and the lack of bench production.

Just got 1 run out of it but did make Peralta throw 28 pitches in the 1st inning.
