He looked like a lot of inexperienced guys used to look against our defense, where they stand in the pocket for way too long and end up throwing it to nobody in particular. I wonder if he's able to make a jump this season in reading defenses and throwing into tighter windows

Yeah, opening against one of the stronger opponents on the schedule seems like a recupe for disaster given what we have seen from CMC teams the first few weeks of the year.
