Get what your saying, but Busch is hitting .105 vs. lefties this year (4 for 38). Whereas Turner is hitting .264 (14 for 53) vs. lefties.

As much as it would be nice to get Busch some at bats vs. lefties, IMO it's probably just as important to get Busch (and Berti) consistent at bats to see what they have left in the tank.
Long is eventually going to take over for Turner whether it’s this year or next. Berti offers enough especially base stealing that he likely remains on the roster. If we add offense it will be a guy that can play third and Brujan doesn’t survive.

Yea will be curious if Long gets a shot in Chicago yet this year. He doesn't get the attention of other prospects in DSM, but he's been a consistent hitter and lower SO rate than guys like Caissie or Alcantara.

IMO what hurts him is he's basically Turner defensively and Cubs seem to really like Turner as a clubhouse guy. But is that enough in a pennant drive if Cards and Brewers keep it close?

Nauseating to listen to Homer crew everyday. After the day off we have Imanaga. Boyd. No reason to push Taillion over 100 pitches today.

But JD supports the move on the surface but I’d bet he’s saying that was stupid to himself

Other thing about Long is they list him at first third and left though I don’t think he’s seen much third this year.

About to be 3-7 in their last 10. When was the last time they won a series?

Gonna be in third place in the division soon.

Beat Pittsburgh 3 out of 4 two weeks ago. Last time beat a "good" team, either Cincy at the beginning of the month and prior to that Milwaukee at the beginning of May.

Previous 2 batters were hitting LONG fouls and outs.
It’s one thing to finish an inning when you get to 100 but he was basically there to start the inning. That first inning had to feel like at least two. It’s easy to say now it was a bad move but with the day off tomorrow and how well the pen has been throwing CC had no reason to stay with Taillon in that situation.

Course if we can’t score it’s completely irrelevant
