OKC plays good team basketball. Ive watched several of their games this year. A the things you are complaining about are done by every team in the league. Blame the refs who dont make the calls you want them to make FFS. As a defender im getting as physical I can without getting a foul called on me.
It is not done by every team. Indiana does not foul bait. Hali didn't even get FTs until game 4 of this finals.

TH had a calf issue too right? I'm no physical therapist but I would guess tonight's injury is related...maybe returning too early or imbalance somewhere even if it was the other leg (I don't remember which was which).
I think it was the same leg, Rt. leg. Yes, it probably had an effect. The previously injured muscle just hadn't healed and was being overworked. An "imbalance" is a pretty good take.

It's true. Can't convince me SGA is an MVP-type player who went 8-27 today with 50% of his points from FTs.
It would take all of a minute to browse his basketball reference page and see why he's the MVP, but even without that, drawing contact, creating contact, finishing through contact, making free throws, these are all basketball skills. I don't know what "pure basketball" is, maybe if we had a definition?

Unpure is him foulbaiting using his stepback maneuvre, when he's the one instigating contact.

I'm not changing your mind and you aren't changing mine so it's moot anyways. You can love that foulbaiting and flopping on offense and mugging on defense but I don't.

Go to the rim. Im so ******* sick of our fanbase that thinks everything is some stupid ******* conspiracy against ISU. Indiana played a hell of a series but they weren't as good as OKC. End of story. Go get it next year. Maybe Hali should show up more ffs. You want him to be considered a star? Score more than 4 ******* points in game 5.

Maybe learn to read. All I said is I hated OKC's style of play. They could be playing the Bucks, Knicks, etc in the finals. Has nothing to do with Hali. Never mentioned his star status.

They've been one of the best defensive teams in NBA history. You dont like teams that play D? Everything youre claiming sounds more like an officiating problem and not an OKC problem.

Jokic had possibly the best stat line in basketball history this season, roughly 30pts on 58% FG, 12 rebounds and 10 assists a game...oh and #2 in steals too. MVP fatigue always happens so he didn't win it again.

SGA's certainly in the mix for second best player, he just objectively was not better than Joker as of this season. SGA has a more well constructed team around him. Jokic nearly bounced OKC single handedly.

Not so sure about that.

They may be getting better with achilles rupture and repair, but the verdict is still out.
Yeah, 10-20 years ago it was a death sentence. Modern science can only do so much. KD's achilles rehab worked out because he doesn't rely as much as on speed but rather size and fluidity. We'll see in 2026 how Tyrese fairs.

I'm directly going after their style of play and why they're hated. No mention of Indiana, nor am I a Pacers fan. My favorite team of all time is the 2014 Spurs, who played good team basketball. This OKC team is the antithesis of that. So no.
The first thing the Pacers OKC coach said in the postgame celebration and interview, was a shout out, a hard fought, congratulations-type message the the Pacers. The first thing.
