Things are really starting to shape and I had to do this just to break it down for myself and see if ISU has a chance. I’m putting out both teams best lineup.

125 - Poulin Dec Peterson. Stevo won the h2h at NCAA. 3-0 ISU
133 - Ayala Dec Ortega 3-3
141 - Frost Dec Bailey. Repeat of NCAA. 6-3 ISU
149 - Ech Dec Estrada. 9-3
157 - Caliendo Dec Paniro. 9-6
165 - Kennedy Dec Euton. 9-9
174 - Arnold Dec MJ. 12-9 Iowa
184 - Ferrari maj Dean 16-9 Iowa
197 - Elam Dec Endene 16-12
285 - Bastida Dec Kueter. 16-15

Guys this is going be a tight one. Iowa has more sure things. Hard to see them losing at 57-84. Some of these matchups could get kind of wonky. Let’s hope we get both teams at full strength.

Everyone says Oretega is the hands down best wrestler in the room. Are you giving Ayala benefit of the doubt or more a 80/20 Ayala win?

I am skeptical that Caliendo will be the same guy down at 57.

He’s clearly the 2nd best guy in the country at 165, can’t believe they’d do it just to try and get Arnold and Kennedy both in the lineup.

If I were them, I’d take my chances with someone else at 157 doing as well as Arnold at 174.

Also, I’m not taking Paniro over Zerban at 157. I can’t get Fish ragdolling Paniro in Vegas out of my head. That was a big 57 against a small 57.

I do still think Paniro has a shot at 149.

Just benefit of the doubt. I think it’s very close and wouldn’t surprise me at all if Ortega wins. Just never seen him wrestle a folkstyle match before so can’t take him to beat Ayala.

Caliendo going to 157 seems unrealistic and silly. He’s runner up most likely at either weight so it’s not even necessary.

I’ll wait on the predictions until these rosters are actually set, but I too have a really hard time seeing Caliendo at 57 effectively.

I’m also on the Ortega over Ayala side if he gets eligibility. I know he’s not actually wrestled a folk style match but he’s been with the program for over two years. It’s not going to be new to him like some of the other guys first years in it.

Also, if Yonger is healthy and it’s close going into heavyweight he’s going to ragdoll Keuter. Keuter is good, but he had nothing for a very injured Yonger in carver last year and was never close against the top top guys. Yonger is on a different level.

It’s huge for the team though. Otherwise Arnold is in the bench and 57 is weak.
Would Arnold get 4th at 174 like Kennedy? I’m not convinced he would.

I think Kennedy AA’s at 65 or 74, so it basically comes down to: who do they think would score more points at NCAA’s between Arnold at 74 and whoever else is an option at 157.

And would Caliendo most likely be less effective at 157 sucking that much weight?

Alvarez could be 149 if he gets a year back. And Zerban will be in the line up over paniro

Arnold also has wins over AAs Jaxon Smith, Silas Allred, and Travis Wittlake FYI.

Estrada seems like a decent wrestler, but has nowhere near the credentials of Arnold.
Arnold hasn’t done enough besides run his mouth that you need to find a spot for him in the lineup. I’m sure he’ll transfer soon.

Where this get wild is if TnT do TnT things and try and slide ferarri up to wrestle elam and put gabe in against dean
