Congrats to Crooks and Brown for being invited to the AmeriCup trials. By my count, ISU is one of 4 schools with two players invited (Oklahoma, Vandy, Notre Dame).

I see nine that I think are locks. (Taking into consideration who the coaches are - even though they are not the ones making the selections)

Brazil will have WNBA pros Damiris Dantas and Kamilla Cardoso on their roster so the post selection for USA will have to be ready to play pros. I am guessing that works against Crooks. And Stephanie Soares is not on the Brazil camp invitee list (at least not that I saw).

I was told Steph had to have another procedure on her knee so is back rehabbing - that was another reason she was not in a WNBA camp this year.

Training camp trails started today. Only runs thorough the 24th with first game the 28th so our gals have a week to make an impression and make the squad.

Too bad for the U.S. team. I think Addy could be our next WNBA regular. Not counting out Audi, but feel she will need to be drafted by a team with a coach that knows how to use her talents.

Still can’t believe Kate Martin is in the WNBA, but Ashley Joens isn’t.
